Principal's Message

toby arritola with his family outside

Dear Mountain Vista families,

Welcome to the home of the Mammoths!  My name is Toby Arritola, and I am honored and excited to be the principal of Mountain Vista Elementary School.  It is a privilege to have the opportunity to lead within such a dedicated educational community striving to inspire all of our children to think, to learn, to achieve, and to care.

For those of you I have not had the opportunity to meet, I would like to take a moment to introduce myself.  This is currently my 12th year in the Cherry Creek School District, with 7 previous years of teaching in the Palm Springs Unified School District in Southern California.  During my career, I have taught in grades 3-5, been the assistant principal at Rolling Hills Elementary, and the principal at Village East Elementary.  I am thrilled to call Mountain Vista home!

When I am not at Mountain Vista, I can be found spending time with my wonderful family.  My wife, Kate, is an instructional coach with Cherry Creek and truly an amazing mother and best friend.  We have two beautiful girls, Allie and Averie.  Allie is a 7th grader at Liberty and Averie is in 2nd grade here at Mountain Vista.  We love to spend time golfing and being outdoors.

Along with the amazing staff, I want to welcome each of you to Mountain Vista.  Together we can achieve our mission for all students to:  DREAM.  BELIEVE.  ACHIEVE.

I thank you for allowing me to be part of your child's education, and I am looking forward to another amazing year.

Warmly,

Toby R. Arritola
